Hello!!

My name is Paola Sordo. I am a Costume Technician out of El Paso, Texas. I am a recent graduate of Texas State University with a Bachelors Degree in Theatre Performance and Production. I am eager to continue my career as a Stitcher/ Dresser and have worked hard to absorb information and skills from my environment at my university and in Austin, Texas.

I have sought opportunities in Austin  working as a stagehand through the stage labor provider, Stage Alliance. Since January 2024, I have assisted in the Load IN/OUTS of tours and have worked as a Dresser for shows that are part of Austin's Broadway season at Bass Concert Hall. I am unafraid to ask questions and am always willing to learn skills that will help me across departments.

I aim to be well-rounded in all parts of costume construction. I have experience in Mask-making, corset construction, Millinery, Flat-Patterning, Draping, and wig-making/styling.   I possess a passion for costume history, with a particular fondness for working on productions set in historic time periods
